Urgency Incontinence
Vaginal Prolapse (“dropped bladder”)
Bladder Cancer
Kidney Cancer
Kidney (UPJ) Obstruction
Kidney Stones
Erectile Dysfunction
Urinary Tract Infection
Prostate
Cancer
A wide variety of treatments for prostate cancer are available.
These include watchful-waiting, hormonal therapy, cryosurgery or
cryoablation, radiation therapy (external beam or brachytherapy),
and surgery (daVinci robotic prostatectomy or radical prostatectomy).
Enlarged
Prostate
BPH can be treated with medicine or with procedures. Medical treatment
(alpha blockers and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors) work by either
relaxing the urethra that is within the prostate, or by shrinking
the prostate itself. Many patients can be treated successfully by
either of these types of medications.
daVinci
Robotic Prostatectomy
The daVinci Robotic Prostatectomy represents the next revolution
in surgery for prostate cancer. Powered by state-of-the-art robotic
technology, it allows the surgeon to remove the prostate using small
incisions instead of the traditional large incision. For the patient,
this typically means less blood loss, shorter hospital stay, less
pain, and a quicker return to normal activities after the procedure.
Green
Light Laser Treatment
The GreenLight Laser system uses pulsing technology called Star
Pulse ™ to create high energy pulses of 532 nanometer (“green”)
light. The green light is absorbed into the prostate tissue, resulting
in quick vaporization of the prostate tissue. Thus, the surgeon
is able to completely remove all of the obstructive tissue in a
near-bloodless field.
